Describe your role at recruitAbility.

I am a Recruiter in the Finance and Accounting Department. I specialize in recruiting candidates for finance, accounting, sales and marketing roles.

What made you want to work in recruiting?

I graduated and worked as an Accountant for years before joining recruitAbility. As much as I loved accounting, I was looking for a job that was more dynamic and would give me more opportunities to interact with and help people. I joined recruitAbility as an Accounting and Finance recruiter, and I couldn’t be happier!

What made you want to join recruitAbility?

What made recruitAbility stand out from other companies was the people and the culture. During the interview process I had the chance to meet my fellow recruiters and the leadership team. I was impressed with the culture and their great experiences working here. I thought “What a cool place to work.”

Do you have a favorite business book or podcast?

I love podcasts! I start my morning listening to “The Best One Yet” (formerly “Snacks Daily”). It is a 15 min news show about the stock market in a very non-boring way. I also really recommend “Stuff you should know.” It is a interesting podcast about the most variables subjects that “you should know.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?

I love being outdoors: hiking, swimming, boating, etc. Also, I just bought a new paddle board and I mean…If you need me, I’ll be at the lake.

What appeals to you about moving to Austin?

I moved to Austin because of my husband’s job, and we fell in love with the city right away. The weather, live music, and all the barbecue reminds me of my hometown in Brazil which is priceless. Also, I really enjoy the natural beauty and the countless things to do.
