Describe your role at recruitAbility.
My job involves looking for the best talent in accounting and finance.
What made you want to work in recruiting?
I was looking to pivot my career from real estate to something new and exciting. I wanted something that had a similar feel where I could leverage my client and customer management experience. I enjoy people.
What’s your favorite part of recruiting?
My favorite part is being able to make an impact on someone’s life by helping them land their dream job. There’s nothing like it. It’s really rewarding.
What made you want to join recruitAbility?
I love that recruitAbility’s culture is built around teamwork. Being able to talk one-on-one with your CEO is a huge plus! Also, being able to bounce ideas off of the whole team gives a true collaborative feel to the process.
Do you have a favorite business book or podcast?
My favorite podcast is Joe Rogan’s. I’m always learning, and his podcast does a great job of covering many different topics.
What’s your favorite part about living in Austin?
So far, my favorite part about living in Austin is the people. I know more neighbors in the few months we’ve been here than I did after living on the same street for 10 years in L.A.
Favorite spot to get food in Austin?
I am still in search of that favorite spot. But Aba is pretty great!
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Outside the office, I am a dedicated husband and father to three kids. I love being a part of baseball practices, attending swim meets, and exploring the city. I’m also a huge college football fan and can’t wait for the season to start!
