As the Director of Business Development, you will be leading the next stage of growth for our client. Your main goal is to establish new relationships and foster continued growth in our client’s industry. In addition to leading the sales cycle by coordinating activities and internal resources, you will be coming up with innovative plans to acquire new business contracts and carry those plans out. You’ll represent our client, and build their credibility to prospects by demonstrating your understanding of the business challenges and opportunities that come with the salon industry, and then presenting them with elegant and efficient solutions. This role is essential to our client’s business in the long run, as they continue to rapidly grow.

Primary Responsibilities of the Director of Business Development

  • Attracting prospective businesses by innovating and overseeing our client’s sales process
  • Collaborating with your team members to identify and resolve potential issues that could hinder our client’s growth
  • Keeping up-to-date with new developments in new and existing markets to keep our client at the forefront
  • Preparing and presenting pitches to potential customers
  • Maintaining mutually-beneficial relationships with our client’s associated businesses

Qualifications for the Director of Business Development

  • 5+ years of successful business development working in the multi-unit franchise space
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • A history of driving new business and operational execution
  • The flexibility to travel to Giddings, TX either a few days each week or several days every other week to collaborate with our client’s leaders
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills
  • The ability to negotiate and work well with other people, as well as utilize your domain knowledge to deliver creative solutions
