The Director of Marketing, North America will own the strategic and tactical execution across the entire marketing mix and will be accountable for our core growth metrics. You will establish ambitious growth plans to drive rapid brand awareness and SOV within the North American market. Ultimately accountable for the marketing impact on our core SaaS Metrics (Opportunity Generation, New Business Wins, Customer Retention, and Marketing Efficiency).

Working with the heads of the shared Marketing Services (Content & Growth, Events, Product Marketing, and Marketing Operations) you will bring proven experience in maximizing opportunity generation channels such as Inbound, Outbound, and our Partner ecosystem.

This role will report to the Global VP of Marketing and be primarily remote-based but will require some occasional travel to Austin, TX, London, UK, and other locations as deemed necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own the US Marketing strategy across all marketing channels.
  • Create, implement and drive multi-channel marketing and growth strategies to drive growth (customer acquisition, revenue retention, and market share) in the North American market
  • Effectively manage marketing spend in line with the growth and business strategy and make a positive impact on our regional P&L
  • Perform analysis of all channels and identify key success metrics
  • Maintain constant awareness of market positioning amongst competitors, using data and insight to suggest creative and bold ways to improve the brand proposition within the market
  • Be a customer champion, spearheading robust data-driven initiatives to grow overall reach and optimize each stage of the customer journey
  • Provide forecasting and reporting of performance to the Global VP of Marketing & wider Executive Team
  • Collaborate and leverage cross-functional marketing services teams to develop briefs and operational execution plans  (Events, Product Marketing, Content, Comms, Design)
  • Own the US media investment strategy, long and short-term planning, and an aggressive media testing plan, helping them identify marketing channels that will help us reach prospects more efficiently.
  • Develop, lead and coach North American Marketing teams
  • Align and support region department heads (CS, Sales) to maximize operational efficiencies across the business 
  • Test, launch, and scale growth opportunities and channels in North America

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of senior demonstrable hands-on experience in marketing and or growth, ideally having worked in high-growth SaaS, tech or eCommerce businesses
  • A proven track record of growing an early stage or scale-up SaaS business in North America
  • Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects
  • Exposure to or management of Partner marketing function and growth strategies through a partner ecosystem 
  • A breadth of experience across the full marketing spectrum
  • Customer-centricity and a data-driven approach – you will have a passion for understanding and exceeding the objectives and use data to make the right decisions
  • A strong network of industry professionals and advisors
  • A KPI and metrics-driven mindset; aligns business needs, customer insights, and marketing strategy
  • Exceptional project direction and management skills, ability to manage multiple timelines, deadlines, and actions in a collaborative extremely fast-paced environment
