Our client was established in the greater Washington, D.C. area in 1976, and now today has hundreds of locations nationally. They provide security coverage to millions of square feet of public and private facilities, and we have grown to become one of the top 10 largest security companies in the United States.

As they continue to expand, they are seeking to fill a position as a HR Generalist that manages the Recruitment and Employee Relations functions for a Security Solutions provider. The position supervises the administrative support and recruiting personnel in Dallas, Houston, and Austin. The position reports to the Division Vice President for Texas but will work closely with the Human Resources Department.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with Operations and establish regular requisition review reporting cycles presenting relevant metrics, establishing priorities, and communicating recruiting strategies.
  • Recruit and manage workflow of candidates via Applicant Tracking System. 
  • Manage department in a cost-efficient manner. Manage vendor relationships. Review invoices for accuracy and approve them in a timely manner. 
  • Develop or enhance recruiting metrics including time-to-fill to openings, cost per hire, source effectiveness, and HR/Administrative performance. 
  • Conduct weekly meetings with administrative staff to address recruitment successes, areas for improvement, future goals, and team building. Manage and coordinate multiple recruitment activities simultaneously. 
  • Attend several external recruiting events. 
  • Adapts to changing business priorities with a focus on accountability, communication, and customer service. Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation. 
  • Attend local professional meetings and membership development meetings. 
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees.
  • Coordinate and implement college-recruiting initiatives. 
  • Establish a strong relationship with military and veteran’s organizations. 
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need. 
  • Supports business development initiatives including RFPs, researching new requirements, writing transition, and staffing plans. 
  • Ensure performance management and counseling are conducted in accordance with company policy.
  • Recommends new policies and procedures in conjunction with changes to employment laws and to assure efficient operation of the company. 
  • Counsels and trains managers and supervisors on the interpretation and administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct prompt internal investigations into employee claims and concerns. 
  • Tracks trends in employee turnover and employee relations issues. Provide monthly turnover and employee relations trends report to DVP and makes recommendations for changes.
  • Assure timely processing of terminations, status changes and Leave of Absence in conjunction with HR team.
  • Conduct town hall meetings, exit surveys and individual meetings with employees to ascertain site issues and challenges to ensure high employee retention.
  • Process unemployment claims and provide hearing guidance to managers/supervisors as needed. 
  • Create and manage Incentive and recognition programs for effectiveness (ex: Employee of the Month program, on the spot awards, etc.).


  • 5+ Years of HR Management experience in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
  • Proven track record in recruitment and employee relations.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work weekends and some evenings as needed.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office products, have good organizational skills with superior attention to detail, must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • 5+ Years of HR Management experience in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
