We are looking for a Global Category Manager to build strategies and handle strong negotiations for our client. In addition to supporting global facilities with strategic procurement, you will be overseeing their employees' on-site experience to make sure that the facility is running smoothly.

Primary Responsibilities of the Global Category Manager

  • Creating and implementing a global facilities strategy and collaboration model
  • Building the foundation for relationships on local, regional, and global scales to become a trusted advisor with stakeholders in order to ensure goals are consistently aligned and met
  • Finding areas of opportunity and executing actions to fulfill cost, process, productivity, and sustainability goals
  • Leading our client's facilities on procurement source-to-contract and supplier management activities that generate best-in-class outcomes
  • Advising local and regional procurement buyers to ensure that synergies are derived and key actions are implemented
  • Promoting our client's culture of positivity, guiding principles, and core values

Main Requirements for the Global Category Manager

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in creating category management and managing complex projects
  • 7+ years of experience in a strategic procurement role with a multinational organization (past experience in managing category facilities is a plus)
  • A background of clear communication and leadership
  • The ability to build strong supplier relationships and promote solutions without direct authority
  • Past history of negotiating complex contracts in dynamic supply environments

This is a hybrid position with onsite work 2 days per week minimum
