the ideal PRIVATE EQUITY SENIOR ACCOUNTANT does not require a super structured environment and has a hands-on mindset, someone that is willing to grow and learn as a team. Some of your responsibilities as a PRIVATE EQUITY SENIOR ACCOUNTANT are:

  • Perform accounting and consolidation for corporate entities
  • Calculating waterfalls of complex partnerships and joint ventures
  • Preparing monthly financial statements for investment entities, detailed quarterly investor reporting, and consolidated financial statements for parent entities
  • Communicating directly with investors
  • Treasury functions
  • Investigating financial irregularities and providing explanations/recommendations
  • Recording calls, distributions, and transfers
  • Processing, reconciling and reviewing cash transactions, investments, and other financial transactions
  • Working with external auditors and tax accountants to ensure clean audits and on-time K-1 and tax reporting
  • Coordinating and working with the highest caliber talent including Controller, Portfolio Managers, and executives
  • Providing training and guidance to new and existing team members
  • Preparing Ad Hoc Requests
  • Recruiting and building teams is a top priority, each person will participate in interviewing prospective candidates
  • Performing accounting for a portfolio of real estate investments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA (preferred)
  • 3-6 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with an emphasis on investment partnerships, equity method accounting, and illiquid assets
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to complete assigned tasks independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency with advanced accounting systems (Yardi, NetSuite)
  • Extreme ownership, ensuring deadlines are met
