Because of their constant growth, they are currently looking for a Private Equity Senior Accountant to join the team and have extensive opportunities to learn and keep expanding their professional growing. In this role you will perform accounting and consolidation for corporate entities and calculate waterfalls of complex partnerships and joint ventures.

What YOU get to DO at this innovative company:

  • Preparing monthly financial statements for investment entities, detailed quarterly investor reporting, and consolidated financial statements for parent entities. 
  • Investigating financial irregularities and providing explanations/recommendations. 
  • Processing, reconciling, and reviewing cash transactions, investments, and other financial transactions. 
  • Preparing Ad Hoc Requests .
  • Performing accounting for a portfolio of real estate investments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Calculating waterfalls of complex partnerships and joint ventures.
  • Preparing monthly financial statements for investment entities, detailed quarterly investor reporting, and consolidated financial statements for parent entities.
  • Communicating directly with investors.
  • Treasury functions.
  • Investigating financial irregularities and provide explanations/recommendations.
  • Recording calls, distributions and transfers.
  • Processing, reconciling, and reviewing cash transactions, investments, and other financial transactions.
  • Working with external auditors and tax accountants to ensure clean audits and on-time K-1 and tax reporting.
  • Coordinating and working with the highest caliber talent including Controller, Portfolio Managers and executives.
  • Providing training and guidance to new and existing team members.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • CPA (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience. 
  • Private Equity experience.
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with an emphasis on investment partnerships, equity method accounting, and illiquid assets. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail. 
  • Deadline-oriented with the ability to complete assigned tasks independently.
  • Proficiency with advanced accounting systems (Yardi, NetSuite) 
  • Extreme ownership, ensuring deadlines are met.
