This role will ultimately be responsible for A/P, A/R, general ledger, month-end close, financial statement preparation, internal reporting, budget vs actual analysis, cost allocation, investment analysis, project draws, process improvements, and ad hoc reporting.

Your Role as a Timberline Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will assist the CFO with all aspects of the Accounting/Finance function,
including the following:
Accounting, General Ledger, Administration, and Operations
Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate, real estate operating entity, and portfoliowide financial statements and reports for internal purposes, investors/JV partners, and lenders, as
Perform ongoing general ledger, A/P, A/R functions, including journal entry
preparation/documentation, cash management entries/reports, and rent roll management.
Perform month-end closing activities including bank/general ledger account reconciliations and
overhead cost allocations.
Prepare and analyze reports related to in-process development/construction projects, including
Prepare documentation to support external audits, as applicable.
Prepare information used in local, state, and federal tax returns.
Complete miscellaneous/ad hoc reports under CFO’s direction, to support finance/asset
management/property management/development functions, as applicable.
Interface with external accounting/finance vendors to resolve issues, as applicable.
Prepare monthly draw requests for development projects and real estate investments.
Recommend ideas/approaches for improving efficiency and effectiveness of accounting functions
to upper management as applicable.
Planning and implementing changes in the accounting systems, as necessary

Your Experience and Qualifications:
We look for individuals with a passion for the real estate industry (with emphasis on hospitality,
and retail properties) that have a strong educational background, demonstrated intellectual
curiosity, self-reliance, and leadership ability.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
3+ years of experience in real estate accounting, or public accounting, with focus on real estate
CPA/CPA track preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP and the ability to understand and apply accounting policies in accordance with

Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
