Our client is looking for an experienced, software engineer who has integrated systems across various technologies with a particular focus on JavaScript/TypeScript integrations as backend services. You have the ability to design, develop, and stand up new (greenfield) services and REST-based API integrations based on our partner’s needs. You are determined to provide reliable and fault-tolerant systems to both the developers and customers that consume them to help local businesses and communities thrive.

What you need to be successful as the Software Engineer 

  • 5+ years of experience working with technologies like Nodejs but primarily developing in JavaScript/TypeScript with knowledge of point of sales systems being helpful.
  • Experience building and generating documentation (Swagger) and REST-based services
  • Experience deploying to public cloud infrastructure is nice to have
  • Experience instrumenting and managing applications using monitoring and trending systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog), log aggregation systems (Loggly), and their agents
  • A good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipeline architecture (Jenkins, Circle C.I)
  • Be a strong team player. We work in small, tightly knit product teams that function cohesively to move as quickly as possible
