This is an exciting role that will give the successful candidate a great opportunity to deliver on a set of high visibility and business-critical initiatives. The Sitecore Engineer is a full-stack engineer, with plenty of front-end skills, responsible for providing high-quality CMS-based solutions in collaboration with Marketing and Business Development teams, to produce innovative, scalable, and effective experiences for their Advisors.

Primary responsibilities of the Sitecore Engineer

  • Converts annotated visual designs to fully functional web pages with associated assets (HTML, CSS, images, JavaScript, etc.), built to responsively run on mobile and desktop.
  • Develops Sitecore templates, layouts, and renderings for web applications, allowing Marketers to manage their content themselves utilizing CMS capabilities.
  • Conducts unit and integration testing of code to ensure the elimination of technical errors, using developer tools to diagnose, and debug coding issues.
  • Reviews user stories, participates in planning sessions and collaborates with multi-discipline Agile Scrum teams to identify tasks related to HTML authoring and/or front-end development, as well as back-end solutions.
  • Applies knowledge in subjects such as software development methodologies, object-oriented programming, and database design and development to evaluate requirements and create technical design strategy.
  • Fully owns and supports their solutions, troubleshoots complex technical issues, and performs remediation to resolve the issues.
  • Collaborates with multi-discipline teams in Scrum ceremonies and other necessary meetings

Primary Requirements for the Sitecore Engineer

  • 5+ years’ experience in software design solutions
  • Experience working with a CMS system (Sitecore, Kentico, Sitefinity, Episerver, or Adobe)         
  • Ideally has experience integrating with Email Campaign Management platforms, such as Marketing Cloud or Marketo.
  • Experience with technologies such as C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, Bootstrap, DOM,.Net, and SQL.
  • Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
  • Experience working with front-end automation tooling (Gulp, npm, Sass, or Selenium)
  • Excellent verbal and email communication skills.
  • Experience working with the Agile methodology, and using Atlassian tooling (Jira, Confluence)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills enabling comprehension of complex business and application issues  
  • Sitecore Developer Certification (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems or closely related technical discipline
