Looking to expand, we are looking for a Staff Accountant, who will be responsible for supporting all businesses, consulting on accounting implications, and supporting teams’ ability to make informed strategic decisions. This role will ensure accurate and timely recording of all business-generated transactions on our balance sheet and income statement.

What YOU get to DO at this innovative company 

  • Participate in building scalable accounting processes to support fast growth.
  • Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and analytical reviews, producing internal management reporting and external audit support.
  • Partner with Product, Tax, and Legal teams to support internal financial systems process improvements and automation and to advise on accounting implications.
  • Design, implement and execute efficient internal control procedures.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedural documentation.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role  

  • 3-5+ years of relevant public accounting and/or insurance industry accounting experience.
  • B.A. or BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Fluency in U.S. GAAP.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct and Salesforce is a major bonus! 
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience with internal controls (design, implementation, and execution.)
  • Demonstrated history of taking on various types of challenging projects and producing results.
  • A solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices.
