Our client is a full-service visual consulting and creative agency in the heart of Dallas, Texas. With an extremely talented creative team, as well as a team of skilled project managers and production experts, our client can manage every aspect of a visual project from conception to completion. Our client’s goal is to become an extension of their customers’ brands by creating strategic, innovative, and thoughtful visual experiences.

Based on their current success, they are looking to establish a new digital marketing division to integrate into their existing visual marketing business, ultimately allowing them to better serve their customers and expand in the marketplace. They are looking for a VP of Digital Marketing that has the drive, energy, and ambition to help them build this new business. This person will be a trusted strategist and business creation manager who will be responsible for the overall digital marketing sales strategy and ROI.

Primary Responsibilities for the VP of Digital Marketing

  • Build and manage the digital marketing unit of the business using industry knowledge and experience
  • Collaborate with key team members across disciplines to drive the performance, strategy, vision, direction, and alignment of marketing on the digital side of the business
  • Oversee execution of digital marketing campaigns across channels for new and existing clients, including, but not limited to strategy, branding, marketing, and digital advertising 
  • Work hand in and with the Chief Creative Officer to conceptualize innovative and forward-thinking creative that aligns with each individual clients’ aesthetic and needs
  • Develop deep client relationships built on trust and results while maintaining authentic connections and providing clients with innovative and results-driven ideas
  • Create an integrated marketing approach to ultimately combine the digital and core divisions of the company
  • Manage, inspire, and motivate project, product, and development teams for a new experience

Primary Requirements for the VP of Digital Marketing

  • Experience in leading and growing a digital marketing practice 
  • 10+ years of client services experience in a digital agency, creative agency, or communications environment
  • A proven approach to building relationships that result in new, profitable partnership opportunities
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build innovative marketing campaigns, combined with a tactical ability to execute simultaneously against multiple competing priorities.
  • Natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Decisive, action-oriented, and able to motivate, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams to leverage resources effectively.
  • A proven approach to building relationships that result in new, profitable partnership opportunities
  • Solid working knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem and existing rolodex of partners (everything from PR to graphic design)
  • A Leader and mentor who can foster career growth for the individuals on their project teams
  • 10-15% travel may be required
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a good sense of humor
