As the company continues to grow with this expansion, they are looking to hire a skilled VP OF OPERATIONS who will be responsible for setting, supporting, and executing the company’s overall corporate strategy, goals, and objectives. In this position, you will provide direct oversight to each of the company’s regions to ensure performance in accordance with company expectations and metrics. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading all regional and property staff while anticipating market trends and maximizing probability in accordance with budgetary guidelines.

  • Responsible for the selection, hiring and retention strategies for the Operations team.
  • Routinely audits all properties to ensure compliance with all company policies and adherence to applicable laws, ensure property presentation meets Company expectations and provide course correction for any non-compliance. 
  • Monitors property financial performance to proactively address performance issues.
  • Work in tandem with Regional and Property staff to resolve elevated resident complaints and employee relations issues.
  • Work in conjunction with Asset Management to provide strategic direction with acquisitions/disposition of properties while leading the due diligence process to establish areas of focus for all new assets and ensure timely project completion directly after a takeover.  

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role

  • 4+ years of bachelor’s degree, and/or experience in lieu of education.
  • 10 years’ progressive management experience in the multi-family, multi-location property management sector.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading multi-family, multi-location property management operations, including top-level strategic planning and tactical management. 
  • Solid understanding and awareness of relevant local and federal laws, including but not limited to, Fair Housing, Landlord-Tenant Laws, Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, and Disability Accommodations, as they apply to the policies and procedures of the company. 
  • Working knowledge of property management principles, including multifamily industry trends, best practices, rules, and regulations.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs (especially Excel) and property management systems such as ResMan or similar software and revenue management systems.
  • Proficient in working with financials and budgets
  • CPM, CCI, RPA, CAM preferred.
  • Real Estate license preferred.
