Our client, a large real estate investment company, is looking for a VP of Strategic Product Initiatives. In this role, you will partner with executives across the different operating companies to create and drive new strategic initiatives. Your job is to look at the inefficiencies in the market and our business lines to develop ideas that you can then turn into successful operating units to solve those problems.

What You Will Do

  • Develop profitable business models using market-relevant insights and data to increase market share or create new businesses in line with priority initiatives
  • Develop operating model strategies and blueprints across all functions including Finance, IT, Operations, Sales and Marketing
  • Develop business model economics including P&L, planning, budgeting, problem definition and ensuring buy-in of proposed solutions from top management
  • Organize, participate and lead all aspects of the proposal development process.
  • Provide understanding of our industry landscape and business options in the context of global, economic, technology and social trends
  • Encourage creative and innovative thinking from team members while helping them bring their ideas to fruition
  • Maintain an understanding of advancements in technology and innovations that directly impact our businesses

Professional Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years in a Sr Corporate Development, Strategic Initiatives, Product Development or similar role
  • Proven instances of developing successful new business lines within the context of a larger organization
  • Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Manage teams of diverse backgrounds, skill sets and technical/functional knowledge
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelors Degree; MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred
