Accounting Manager/Senior Manager

As they continue growing, they are looking for an Accounting Manager or Senior Accounting Manager to join their team in Dallas. The Accounting team is dedicated to supporting investing and accounting activities across private equity, hybrid, and liquid credit funds. This role will be a key part of a developing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The individual will be involved in various aspects of operations, including counterparty management, cash management, and treasury functions, as well as reporting and investment performance/analysis deliverables.
What YOU get to DO at this growing company:
- Collaborate with Operations and Fund Accounting teams to facilitate, document, and reconcile investment and cash transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of fund investments in accordance with GAAP standards and integration with client accounting systems; supervise reconciliation process with Funds’ Administrator.
- Provide supervision for the Funds’ Administrator and assist in generating daily and monthly reports for investment professionals and firm management.
- Contribute to specific automation initiatives and technology enhancements.
- Uphold effective internal controls, identify critical accounting challenges, and lead special projects and analytical tasks.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
- 7 to 12 years of accounting experience in public accounting, alternative asset or investment management, or fund administration
- Preferably experienced with alternative investments, credit and structured products, private equity, partnership accounting, and Advent Geneva
- Knowledge of investment performance reporting and analytics is a plus
- Proficient in accounting, and Excel, and preferably holds a CPA or equivalent certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on team player with attention to detail, organization, responsibility, and proactivity
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and industry accounting practices, capable of meeting time-sensitive business, regulatory, and contractual requirements
