Cable Rack Technician

Our client is a leading service provider that provides a comprehensive suite of services for the planning, design, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and take-back of End-User/Client and Enterprise Systems including the mission-critical facilities they are housed in. They provide a single‐source solution for enabling technologies in data centers, operations centers, network facilities, server rooms, modular data centers, security operations centers, communication facilities, and the infrastructure systems that are critical to their function.
As they continue to expand, they are seeking to fill the roles of Cable Rack Technician who will be responsible for installing cables and equipment for some very well-known clients. In this role, you will follow documents and procedures to build cabling racks from start to finish. If you have the right aptitude and attitude, this role is for you!

What you GET to go DO:
- Organize and follow procedures utilizing ethernet, fiber optics, hoses, cabling racks, power cords, etc. for well-known, name-brand clients.
- Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
- Installing support structures such as J-hooks, saddles, slings, and cable trays.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment.
- Label cables in a neat and organized manner.
- Test every newly installed or relocated cable in accordance with established procedures.
- Keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards.
- Assist other members of the team with installation and maintenance.
What you NEED to SUCCEED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience professional technician experience preferred. The compensation range will be based on experience.
- Familiar with industry tools and equipment.
- Able to work at tall heights and lift 50+ pounds.
- Previous work experience as a Cable Technician.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, science and electrical systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and fix any problems that may arise.
