Our client designs, manufactures and markets innovative, high-performance modular power components, from bricks to semiconductor-centric solutions, to enable customers to efficiently convert and manage power from the wall plug to the point-of-load. They focus on solutions for performance-critical applications in the following markets: enterprise and high-performance computing, telecommunications and network infrastructure, industrial equipment and automation, vehicles and transportation and aerospace and defense electronics.

As the company continues to expand its efforts, they are seeking a dedicated Design Engineer – Sustaining to join their team. The best fit for this role will be a board-level engineer who is familiar with testing and root cause analysis. You will also be responsible for completing some redesign work and driving corrective action. Failure analysis background will be a major plus!

What YOU get to DO at this growing company:

  • Under general supervision, carry out electrical engineering assignments which involves production support by monitoring production yields, timely analyzing and finding root causes of ATE test failures and driving and/or collaborating corrective actions with other Engineering departments and aimed at resolving the issues.  
  • Evaluate and qualify electrical components that go EOL or have promising features that may improve the performance of the existing VIC and FT products.
  • Participate on “when needed” basis in analysis and root causes identification of customer returns (RMA) to keep customer’s satisfaction on a high level.
  • Work with the Analytical Lab and provide general instructions for DPA in order to identify electrical and/or manufacturing issues in the failed products.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 2-3 years’ electrical design experience required.
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials and concepts.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and detail orientation..
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work off-shift hours as necessary to meet business needs.
