Maintenance/Production Supervisor

As they continue growing, they are looking for a Maintenance/Production Supervisor to oversee operations at their specialty Animal Milk Replacer Plant, which specializes in baby formula for cats and kittens. This role requires a proactive approach to safety and quality, effective communication, and strong leadership skills.
What YOU get to DO in this high-profile position:
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians and production operators on the 2nd shift (8:00 pm – 5:00 am).
- Coordinate production activities to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in the plant.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards while fostering employee engagement.
- Provide recommendations for equipment repairs and maintenance improvements.
- Collaborate with the Production/Engineering department to support operational goals.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead shift huddles and communicate effectively to resolve production issues.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Feed Science, Agriculture, or a related field with at least 1 year of maintenance leadership experience; or a high school diploma with 2+ years of maintenance leadership experience.
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a food or feed manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of maintenance systems, including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, unionized environment and manage a diverse team.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflict effectively.
- Must be able to work across shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
