Steve Ibarra recently began working with recruitAbility out of Denver as our first remote employee.

Describe your role at recruitAbility.
As a Technical Recruiter at recruitAbility, I am responsible for the strategy and execution of finding new hires for our professional services partners.
What made you want to work in recruiting?
The idea of helping organizations and professionals match up with one another based on skills and the right fit was a fulfilling idea to me. Once I made a placement during my first job as a recruiter, I was able to confirm that it is a rewarding feeling!
What’s your favorite part of recruiting?
My favorite part of recruiting is the research side. There is a lot to be learned when faced with an unfamiliar company or industry. Making sure that I can deliver a clear and realistic job preview to potential candidates is very important to me.
What made you want to join recruitAbility?
The leadership team at recruitAbility proved to be a fantastic group of individuals dedicated to the art of recruitment. They embody recruityAbility’s core values, and that resonated with my core values.
Do you have a favorite business book or podcast?
I do enjoy a good podcast. I recommend “Digital HR Leaders” with David Green to my industry colleagues.
What’s your favorite part about living in Denver?
My favorite part about living in Denver is the access to the mountains. Additionally, the number of trails around the city and in the mountains is fantastic.
Favorite spot to get food in Denver?
My favorite spot to get food in Denver is Phở Lăng Cô. Their banh mi sandwiches are fantastic. Don’t forget about the phở!
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
When I am not in my office, I like to explore Denver’s offerings. During the winter season, you can catch me snowboarding.
