We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with strong technical and commercial acumen to support growth in semiconductor test systems. This individual will act as the primary liaison between customers, sales teams, and engineering—helping to identify new opportunities, develop tailored solutions, and drive profitable business growth.

This position requires a balance of business strategy, customer engagement, and technical understanding, particularly in semiconductor system-level test and burn-in test environments. The ideal candidate combines an engineering foundation with strong business savvy, thrives in a collaborative setting, and is capable of translating complex technical requirements into clear value propositions and customer solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical and commercial liaison between the customer, sales, and engineering teams.

  • Work closely with account teams to develop and execute customer-specific strategies and value propositions.

  • Translate technical requirements (e.g., power, thermal, and packaging specs) into appropriate product configurations and proposals.

  • Drive customer engagement by listening, understanding challenges, and aligning new or enhanced product features to meet their needs.

  • Develop competitive and profitable pricing and proposal strategies.

  • Collaborate with sales to strengthen account penetration and capture additional market share.

  • Contribute to product planning by communicating evolving customer requirements to engineering and program management.

  • Prepare business cases, ROI analyses, and presentations that effectively articulate value and differentiation.

  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and customer site visits to promote solutions and gather market intelligence.

  • Lead or assist in account mapping, customer strategy documentation, and cost-of-test analysis within the first 90 days.

  • Engage in quarterly business reviews and ongoing strategy sessions to ensure customer alignment and growth.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline required).

  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in business development, technical sales, or applications engineering within the semiconductor capital equipment industry.

  • Strong understanding of backend semiconductor test markets, manufacturing processes, and key global suppliers.

  • Proven ability to translate customer requirements into technical and commercial proposals.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Highly proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in English is required; fluency in Mandarin is a strong plus.

  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Southern California (relocation included).

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
