Our client was founded in 1993 and headquartered in Dallas, TX as a direct lender and mortgage banker specializing in financing for apartment and commercial real estate. They are considered the country’s leading provider of debt and equity financing for commercial and multifamily properties in the $500,000 to $50 million sector and can arrange financing for transactions up to $50M.

As they continue to grow, they are looking to fill the position of a closing specialist. If you are someone who is used to closing loans with 4+ years of experience, this may be a fit for you, as this role normally handles 15-25 loans at a time.

What you GET to do: 

  • Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, title companies, brokers, and legal counsel to ensure a smooth closing process.
  • Track loans in process and provide the team with real-time status of all deals.
  • Order third-party reports, including surveys, Phase I, appraisal, zoning reports, and title.
  • Manage critical dates with lender, title, and borrower to ensure on-time close.
  • Obtain and review necessary due diligence materials from borrower(s) and brokers.
  • Lease Review.
  • Review Purchase and Sale agreements.
  • Obtain and review SNDA/Estoppels.
  • Ongoing tracking of all necessary due diligence materials and 3rd party reports.
  • Obtain new insurance certificates to comply with lenders' requirements.
  • Assist borrowers with lender forms.
  • Audit Settlement Statements to ensure accuracy.
  • Create and organize online files.
  • For construction loans, engage a servicing agency and provide all due diligence.
  • Work on post-closing items.

What you NEED to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college.
  • 2 or more year’s experience in multi-family and commercial real estate lending.
  • 4+ years experience in closing loans. 
  • Experience handling 10-25 loans concurrently.
