Director of Accounting
We’re partnering with a fast-growing law firm to hire a Director of Accounting to lead financial operations across multiple entities. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, high-growth, and high-volume environments and brings experience from a law firm or similar industry.
What YOU get to DO at this growing company:
- Lead end-to-end financial operations for multiple business entities, including budgeting, forecasting, and consolidated reporting.
- Oversee billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable to ensure timely and compliant financial activity.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and perform variance analysis to inform executive leadership decisions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations across all jurisdictions.
- Mentor and manage a team of accounting professionals using structured coaching and standardized procedures.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition planning.
- Manage multiple complex projects and ad hoc reports with strict attention to detail and milestone tracking.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related area.
- A CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in multi-entity, fast-paced environments.
- Background in professional services, legal, or consulting firms.
- Experience with legal billing systems and client trust account management.
- Experience with QuickBooks
