- Support the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational values and adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system (ADP), generate reports, and support benefit administration including claims resolution and employee communication.
- Conduct onboarding for General Managers and deliver HR-related training to promote engagement, performance, and compliance.
- Manage incoming employee issues via a ticketing/case system, triaging and resolving high-volume HR inquiries across a national, multi-location portfolio.
- Participate in department-wide goals, employee engagement programs, performance management initiatives, and process improvement projects.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this impactful role:
- 2–5 years of HR Generalist experience with a strong focus on employee relations, leave administration, and multi-site support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required; SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Demonstrated success supporting frontline or shift-based teams (e.g., retail, restaurants, hospitality, or manufacturing) in high-touch, high-volume employee environments.
- Skilled in managing performance, conduct, attendance, and complex employee relations cases, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ comp, and unemployment claims.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws — California and New York experience strongly preferred (Washington and Oregon are also a plus).
- Proven ability to coach and support onsite leadership, especially young or emerging managers, to improve team performance and resolve workplace issues.
- Proficiency in ADP HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with ticketing or workload management systems.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
