Our client is a leading manufacturer in the agriculture and animal nutrition space, known for its commitment to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement. As demand continues to grow, they are looking to expand their maintenance team at their Commerce City, CO facility.

They are currently seeking an experienced and self-sufficient Maintenance Technician to join their second shift operations. This person will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting equipment performance to ensure production runs smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess strong millwright skills, integrity, and a safety-first mindset.

What YOU get to DO at this growing company:

  • Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, collaborating with OEMs when needed, and resolving issues from the control room (approx. 10% of time).
  • Operate independently to carry out repairs and track maintenance tasks using an EMP (Enterprise Maintenance Program).
  • Conduct inspections, order parts, and work with vendors and customers to manage supplies and ensure equipment uptime.
  • Train on first shift before transitioning to second shift operations.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety policies and ensure no shortcuts are taken in maintenance procedures.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Minimum 4 years of millwright or industrial maintenance experience; OR 3–4 years of experience with LOTO procedures, coupling/uncoupling motors and gearboxes, using digital calipers, and reading schematics.
  • Strong fabrication experience and the ability to lead or self-direct on capital or repair projects.
  • Ability to navigate PM systems, complete checklists, and document work accurately.
  • Demonstrated safety-first approach with a high degree of personal integrity and accountability.
  • Personable with good communication skills to collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to be curious, ask questions, and learn independently.

Position Details:

  • Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM (Second Shift) | Weekends, Holidays, and Overtime as needed.
  • Environment: Non-union facility.
  • Training: Starts on First Shift; transitions to Second Shift once fully trained.
