Payments Migration Specialist

We are looking for a highly motivated Payments Migration Specialist to lead the transition of customers from independent sales organizations (ISOs) and third-party gateways to an integrated payments solution on a vertical SaaS platform. This role is ideal for someone with deep payments knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience navigating the complexities of SaaS platforms and payment system migrations.

Lead Payment Migrations: Oversee and execute customer transitions from legacy ISOs and third-party gateways to an integrated payments product.

Consult with Customers: Work closely with clients to understand their current payment workflows and develop custom migration plans that reduce downtime and ensure a seamless transition.

Manage Stakeholders: Coordinate with internal product, engineering, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on goals and migration timelines.

Own Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact during the migration process, maintaining strong relationships and identifying future sales opportunities.

Analyze Merchant Statements: Review and analyze merchant statements to deliver post-migration proposals that maintain customer costs while preserving company margins.
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this specialized role:

3+ years of experience in a sales, payments, or customer success role within the payments or SaaS industry, with direct migration experience from ISOs or third-party gateways.

Expertise in ISOs and Gateways with a strong understanding of merchant account services and the ability to articulate the benefits of SaaS-integrated payments.

Customer-Focused Communicator with the ability to explain complex technical processes clearly and effectively manage client expectations.

Technical Acumen including familiarity with API-based payment integrations and a basic grasp of the underlying technology in payment processing systems.

Self-Starter Mentality with proven ability to independently manage multiple client projects and deliver results.

Compliance Knowledge with an understanding of PCI-DSS and industry standards for secure payment processing.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with vertical SaaS platforms, particularly in healthcare, real estate, or legal industries.

Familiarity with leading payment gateways and processors such as Stripe, PayPal, and Adyen.

Experience working with APIs, data migration tools, and CRM platforms.
