PCB Test Technician

We are seeking a PCB Test Engineering Technicianto design and execute test plans, hardware, and scripts that validate mission-critical, space-grade electronic hardware. This role ensures product reliability through rigorous validation in simulated extreme environmental conditions. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys contributing to high-impact aerospace programs, from concept through launch readiness.
Key Responsibilities

Develop test plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product reliability and compliance with engineering specifications.

Participate in engineering design reviews to identify test requirements and system risks.

Produce and maintain detailed test reports, metrics, and documentation.

Lead failure analysis efforts, including root-cause documentation, corrective actions, and customer communications.

Plan and coordinate testing activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment readiness.

Define test parameters and procedures for standard and special testing environments.

Provide technical expertise and cross-program support as needed.

Perform diagnostic analysis and preliminary evaluations of product performance.

Develop and execute automated, environmental, dynamic, and regression testing.

Continuously improve test processes through data-driven analysis and reporting.

Mentor and coach early-career engineers and technicians.

Occasionally support testing outside standard business hours, including nights and weekends.

Limited travel may be required.
Qualifications

High School Diploma (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).

6+ years of professional experience in test engineering, preferably in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing.

Hands-on experience with electrical testing, debugging digital circuits, and operating lab instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, etc.).

Proficiency in basic scripting and test automation.

Proven ability to execute tests independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:

Experience in environmental testing, including vibration, temperature, and radiation simulations.

Familiarity with PCB design, schematic capture, and layout tools.

Understanding of AS9100 quality standards and aerospace documentation practices.

Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Failure analysis experience using Ishikawa (Fishbone), 5-Why, or similar methodologies.

Background in optics or optical testing.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and general Office 365 tools (advanced Excel skills a plus).
