Our client is a VC-backed nano-biotechnology start-up revolutionizing the functional ingredient space in food and beverage. They develop, manufacture, and license patented smart nanocarriers that optimize the performance of functional ingredients across multiple verticals, including nootropics, energy stimulants, vitamins, probiotics, and protein. Founded in 2019 with 70+ patents, they have experienced 8x sales growth in the past year and partners with small, mid-size, and large CPG companies.

What YOU get to DO in this role:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the beverage manufacturing plant, developing daily production plans, and ensuring operational goals are achieved.
  • Manage and lead a growing team of Production Operators and Line Leads (20+ per shift) to drive productivity and engagement.
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining stringent quality standards across all manufacturing processes.
  • Train and supervise line workers to ensure efficient, safe, and effective operation of bottling and canning equipment.
  • Monitor production processes in real-time and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency and throughput.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs or adjustments to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operations.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation to support operational transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe manufacturing environment for all employees in full compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Manage quality and site certification processes, including GMP, Organic, Kosher, and other relevant certifications.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this role:

  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment (required).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in bottling or canning line operations (required).
  • Previous experience as a supervisor or lead role, preferably in the food/beverage industry.
  • Proven track record of operating and leading a bottling/canning line with strong technical knowledge of equipment.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and product integrity.
  • Ability to fabricate, sanitize, and package products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate large teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on approach to troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team in a start-up environment.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish (highly preferred).
