Our client is seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager / Project Delivery Leader to join their growing Texas transportation team. This is an outstanding opportunity to help build, develop, and lead a group of transportation engineers on current and upcoming highway planning and design projects across Texas and the broader company portfolio.

What YOU get to DO at this growing company:

  • Lead large, complex, and multifaceted transportation and roadway design projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Review and certify engineering plans, models, and documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Identify and develop design and route options, evaluating alternatives to recommend optimal solutions.

  • Mentor and guide engineering and technician staff on transportation design tasks.

  • Oversee production of conceptual designs, schematics, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Prepare and facilitate internal and client-facing meetings, presentations, and plan approvals.

  • Direct project staff and sub-consultants on assignments and deliverables.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, government agencies, and project teams.

  • Support proposal development and business development efforts.

  • Manage contracts, project schedules, and budgets.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas, or the ability to obtain.

  • 15+ years of experience in civil engineering design, transportation, or highway engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of AASHTO, state, and local design criteria, as well as highway construction methods.

  • Expertise with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, Geopak, and InRoads.

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver large, complex transportation projects successfully.

  • Strong skills in contract management, including scope and fee development, invoicing, and progress reporting.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of developing and mentoring teams.

  • Proven track record of winning transportation and roadway design work, ideally with the Texas Department of Transportation.
