Our client is a consulting firm that specializes in infrastructure and transportation engineering solutions for public sector and municipal clients. The company delivers innovative planning and design services across multiple transportation sectors, including highways, roads, and bridges.

As the company expands its presence in the Atlanta Metro region, they are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Leader to join their team. The selected candidate will lead dynamic structural transportation projects, support business development initiatives, and mentor junior staff. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise in highway design, and experience working with state and local agencies.

  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technician staff.

  • Apply AASHTO and local design criteria to develop alternative solutions and complete highway designs.

  • Oversee the production of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Coordinate project efforts with clients, consultants, government agencies, and internal teams.

  • Serve as Project/Program Manager and Contractual Manager for transportation-related projects.

  • Facilitate internal and client meetings and present plans for approval.

  • Manage and direct project staff and sub-consultants.

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and the firm.

  • Participate in marketing and business development to secure future workload.


What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil/transportation/highway engineering.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months.

  • Proficiency in MicroStation / Geopak / InRoads / OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD / Civil 3D.

  • Experience with GDOT and local/state transportation agencies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of highway design standards and manuals.

  • Experience with alternative project delivery methods (e.g., Design-Build).

  • Familiarity with transportation planning and structural pursuits across diverse service areas.
