Test Engineer (EGSE)

We’re seeking a hands-on Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Test Engineer to support engineering and program management teams on development and flight testing efforts. This is a 6-month contract role focused on executing and reporting on a wide range of testing activities across multiple projects.
In this role, you will collaborate with engineering teams to build and execute experiments, develop manufacturing test procedures, and assist with mechanical and electrical ground support equipment (GSE) fabrication.
Key Responsibilities

Identify test methodologies and contribute to the development of test plans and fixture designs to support risk mitigation, verification/validation, and prototype testing.

Lead or support hands-on test operations, including the assembly and fabrication of ground support equipment.

Document and maintain consistent test setup configurations for repeatable test results.

Conduct material testing to characterize specific material properties and behaviors.
Ideal Background
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or another STEM field (advanced degrees may substitute for up to 2 years of experience).

4+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical fabrication.

2+ years of experience supporting test environments.

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools (e.g., drills, calipers).

Skilled with test instruments such as digital multimeters (DMMs) and oscilloscopes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Able to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Experience working with electrical systems and components.

Proficient in soldering techniques.

Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools.

Experience using mechanical or electrical CAD software.
