Damien Richburg
Principal
Damien Richburg is an executive recruiter who blends engineering discipline, financial expertise, and strategic clarity to help leaders build high-performance teams. With a Mechanical Engineering degree from Virginia Tech, an MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin, and the rigor of a CFA charterholder, he brings a rare analytical depth to talent strategy.
Since entering recruiting in 2015, Damien has partnered with more than 100 companies and interviewed over 1,500 finance and accounting professionals… giving him a precise understanding of what great talent looks like, how it performs, and why it matters. His work centers on one outcome… helping CEOs and CFOs solve capacity challenges by securing the right people at the right time — whether that means identifying a key leader, adding short-term specialized talent, or operating as an embedded talent function during periods of rapid growth.
His approach is grounded in four tenets… Collaboration, Contribution, Growth, and Fulfillment… principles that shape how he listens, how he advises, and how he builds teams built to last. Damien believes talent decisions create the future long before strategy does, and that intentional hiring is one of the most powerful levers a business can pull.
Originally from New Jersey and now based in Austin, Damien serves on the National Black MBA Association Advisory Board and is an active member of both CFA Society Austin and SHRM. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, tackling home renovation projects, and sharpening his focus on the golf course.
