Director of Customer Success

Our client is a fast-growing enterprise software company in the DevOps and database tooling space. As the company scales, they are seeking an experienced Vice President of Customer Success(or equivalent senior leader) to oversee the customer success team and ensure long-term client satisfaction and retention. This executive will play a critical role in shaping post-sales strategy, building strong customer relationships, and driving adoption of solutions across enterprise accounts.

What YOU get to DO at this growing company:

  • Provide executive leadership and direction for the customer success organization, with a team based in Austin.

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive customer adoption, retention, and expansion.

  • Partner closely with sales, product, and engineering leadership to ensure customer needs shape product direction.

  • Establish best-in-class processes for onboarding, support, renewals, and account growth.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise clients, including Fortune 500 customers, demonstrating command presence and thought leadership.

  • Track, measure, and report on key success metrics, including NRR (Net Revenue Retention) and customer satisfaction.

  • Attract, mentor, and develop top customer success talent to scale a high-performing team.

  • Represent the voice of the customer at the executive level, ensuring alignment across the business.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Extensive experience in customer success leadership within enterprise software.

  • Background in DevOps, developer tools, or database-related solutions strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to build, scale, and lead distributed teams.

  • Track record of working with enterprise clients, driving adoption, and improving customer lifetime value.

  • Strong executive presence, reputation in the industry, and ability to influence at the C-level.

  • Data-driven mindset with expertise in customer success metrics and operations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence internally and externally.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced education preferred.
