Accounting Manager (Onsite… Austin Area)

A growing manufacturing and construction services company west of Austin is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to join their team. The right person will bring precision, ownership, and the ability to keep things running smoothly in a fast-moving environment.

This role is fully onsite… collaboration and accountability matter here. You’ll manage the core accounting operations, dig into reconciliations, and ensure financial accuracy across every part of the business. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, solving problems, and being the go-to person when things need to get done, this is the kind of role where you’ll thrive.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee all accounting functions including GL, reconciliations, AP, AR, payroll, and month-end close

• Manage cash flow, job costing, and reporting with accuracy

• Support financial and 401k audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements

• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes

• Work directly with leadership to provide insights, solve issues, and drive results

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or assistant controller roles within manufacturing, construction, or similar industries

• Solid understanding of GAAP, debits and credits, and financial reporting

• Experience with Viewpoint Vista or similar ERP preferred

• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail

• Self-starter mindset… dependable… and willing to take ownership from day one

• Calm, low-drama communicator who values teamwork and accountability
