Senior Civil Engineer

Our client is a rock solid, established leader built on a foundation of three centuries of experience.  For over 130 years, their clients have counted on them to be their water experts. They will continue to be a problem-solver for their clients for water, environmental, energy, and civil engineering projects for many years to come. Their range of project expertise encompasses everything from obtaining permits for earth and stream crossings to overseeing grading permits and conducting construction inspections

There is LOT of work! To better serve their clients, ,they are looking for an experienced civil engineers to join their expanding team and manage the projects, primarily in the Washington, PA area. They have 3 other locations in Western PA with work as well. The role involves taking ownership of multiple projects that involve developing land development plans for a variety of clients, including those in the commercial, institutional, municipal, and energy sectors.

What YOU get to DO at this growing company: 

• Coordinate and manage multiple projects while upholding high project management standards. 
• Assist in proposal development and qualification presentations. 
• Oversee project activities, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful project launches. 
• Provide ongoing project oversight, budget tracking, and reporting. 
• Communicate project status to internal teams and clients. 
• Coordinate with stakeholders and address design issues. 
• Mentor and supervise staff. 
• Manage project documentation, change orders, and budgeting. 
• Obtain necessary permits and support pre-construction tasks. 
• Prepare project close-out documents.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with a Professional Engineering license in PA
• 5+  years of civil engineering experience
• Expertise in Site Development, Permitting and Drainage
• Additional experience in related engineering projects being beneficial. 
• Strong communication skills, proficiency in engineering software, and the ability to lead multiple projects concurrently are required.
