As they continue growing, they are looking for an Assistant Director, Private Equity Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing investment opportunities, overseeing fund activities, and facilitating the selection and evaluation of private equity managers for clients. This position involves extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the strategic decision-making process of the organization.

What YOU get to DO

  • Screen and cultivate new investment opportunities through comprehensive manager search and selection procedures.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential general partners.
  • Lead due diligence meetings and contribute to formulating investment recommendations for presentation to the Global Investment Committee.
  • Actively participate in the Global Investment Committee, collaborating with members from offices in New York, London, and Tokyo.
  • Coordinate negotiations and execute agreements related to Private Equity investments with external parties.
  • Provide industry insights, research, and data to the team, including participation in industry conferences.
  • Conduct post-investment monitoring of funds, engaging in regular meetings with general partners and attending annual meetings.
  • Support the promotion of ESG investment and implementation of responsible investment practices through enhanced ESG scoring.
  • Prepare comments for quarterly reports and participate in quarterly disclosure meetings
  • Conduct research and investigations as required by clients or regulatory bodies.
  • Manage and maintain data related to underlying fund performance and company data.

What YOU need to SUCCEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Economics or equivalent work experience; MBA and/or progress toward CFA qualification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in fund investments, preferably with a focus on alternative fund selection at an institutional investor, investment consultant, or private equity firm.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, particularly advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative global team.
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours for international meetings.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically as required.
