Our client is one of the largest animal food manufacturers in the US, their business supports a network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and other large retailers serving producers, and animal owners throughout the United States. Through industry-leading R&D and committed partnerships, they innovate the nutrition products and practices that unlock the full potential of every animal.

As they continue growing, they are looking for an Electrician/Maintenance Technician who is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair in support of the facility and production equipment. In this role, the technician will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Superior logical thinking and troubleshooting skills are critical. This position is critical to the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

  • Maintaining constant vigilance to ensure the safety of oneself and colleagues without compromise.
  • Inspecting machine equipment to ensure optimal performance and promptly identifying and diagnosing any faults or malfunctions using testing equipment.
  • Creating technical reports for customers clearly and understandably, even for those without a technical background.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on machines or machine tools, potentially making adjustments or repairs as necessary, to ensure their continued productivity.
  • Demonstrating punctuality, consistently meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities with minimal oversight.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members to achieve collective objectives and readily adapting to significant changes as needed.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:

  • Possession of an Oregon LME License
  • Fundamental proficiency in computer usage
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Regular physical activity involving walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other dynamic movements
  • Execution of tasks while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Exposure to varying temperature conditions, potentially including cold and/or hot environments, for prolonged durations, and potential work in dusty environments
  • Flexibility in shift schedules, encompassing days, nights, weekends, occasional holidays, and potential overtime commitments
