As they continue growing, they are looking for an AVP, Fixed Income Trader with proficiency in Japanese. This role involves executing credit-related orders in compliance with trading procedures and portfolio guidelines.

What YOU get to DO at this growing company?

  • Execute credit-related orders generated by portfolio managers while adhering to trading procedures and portfolio guidelines.
  • Participate in internal meetings with Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts to contribute to investment decision-making.
  • Engage in value-additive discussions and solutions, including index analysis, spread trend monitoring, relative value assessments, and trade ideas.
  • Analyze portfolios and guide portfolio managers in considering guidelines, customer needs, and risk rewards.
  • Cultivate relationships with the broker/dealer community to obtain valuable bids and offers, facilitate improved new issue allocations, and gather market intelligence.
  • Enhance execution efficiency and assist in creating automated solutions for desk processes and order flow.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field required; MBA and/or CFA designation preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit areas, fixed income, and fund investing, with a preference for trading experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, advanced Excel, Bloomberg, and related automated trading tools.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a highly collaborative global team environment.
  • Flexible team player capable of adapting to change.
